I've heard the phrase that the only thing that stays the same is that everything changes.  Sometimes this is positive or sometimes it is negative.  We will let you be the judge.   In the midst of a heated political season, here is some change you can believe in:   Computer hard drives crash and force you into a new website.  So the following link is our family's new site.  Welcome, and yes you can.

We've been soaking up the beautiful weather...please God, let it last. Every time I go outside I think "It feels like California out here." We've been sitting outside, taking walks, rolling down the windows...here are some recent pics of our little one taking in the fresh air.

It seems that "thank you" just doesn't suffice for the love that we have received over the past few weeks...but it is all that we can say. Jason, thank you for your friendship with my husband and for the words that you spoke at the funeral. Shane B. thank you for your gift of song and for your willingness to serve in anyway possible. Pez, thank you for these amazing pictures...your friendship is a blessing. And again, for the many cards, words of encouragement, prayers, hugs, flowers, food, etc. we are grateful.

As I was watching the Hurricane Gustav coverage this morning I got to see my good friend Chad. I was reminded of his blunder when he was covering Hurricane Katrina 3 years ago and I had to laugh. Poor Chad...This could have easily been me snapping at someone...but thankfully I am not on national news to get caught. Caleb and I still tell each other "Well if you would let me talk!" Thanks for the fun Chad. You rock!

I was reminded of our little girl this morning and what a gift she is...and I am so thankful that Chip (a.k.a. "Grandfather", as he wanted her to call him) got to meet her and spend the first 5 months of her life with her. I know he was so proud of her and thought of her often. He even bought her clothes on his own! He was such a sweet man and I am so happy that he got to hold her and love on her.
